British Pound Has Stabilized After Comments of BoE’s Representative

State of the markets remains unsteady. Oil and gold prices have slightly stabilized. Brent crude oil is trading at $45.50, while WTI crude oil prices are at $43. Despite a small stabilization, oil may continue to decline.

The British pound traded slightly lower at the beginning of the session on Wednesday, against the backdrop of comments by Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney. But still, state of the British currency has stabilized after the speech of the representative of the Bank of England Andy Haldane. The politician said that despite favorable rate maintenance rates in June, monetary tightening may outpace market expectations.
