The DAX Index Declined
DAX has weakened 0.56%. At this point, it’s trading at 12,605.50. Today, Mario Draghi will deliver his speech before the ECB Forum of Central Bankers. Tomorrow, Germany will publish Preliminary Consumer Price Index and the United States will announce Final Gross Domestic Product and unemployment claims. The single currency was boosted by Mario Draghi’s optimistic statement about the economy and ECB’s policy steps for the future. Euro has lifted more than 1% to close over 1.13 dollars. On the other hand, CAC index dropped. ECB President talked about weakness of inflation and also about possibility of exiting the ultra-loose monetary policy. German labor market and consumer demand are firm, exports keep growing. Low inflation remains the main problem for the economy. Consumer Price Index mildly softens.
