US Dollar Fell After Janet Yellen’s Statement
It is expected, that the US stock markets will open higher today, as investors are waiting for Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen’s second day of testimony before the Senate Banking Committee.
The US dollar fell to a 9-month minimum after Yellen said that there is uncertainty about how inflation will respond to changes in the US economy. Such words were perceived by the market as evidence of the Fed's cautious position on the issue of raising rates. The US bond yields also declined.
