US Unemployment Claims Started Growing
Jobless claims in the United States have increased from the minimum of 3 months. Still, the number didn’t exceed the line, suggesting a healthy employment. Initial fillings for state unemployment pensions rose 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 244,000, marking the 125th consecutive week of positive figures (the longest period since 1970). The jobless rate indicated 4.4%. 4-week moving average of fillings remained at 244,000. The amount of citizens that kept getting pensions dropped 13,000 to 1.96M. Continuing claims have been holding under 2M for 15 consecutive weeks and 4-week moving average of them increased 4,750 to 1.96M, sticking under the 2M for 13 straight weeks.
