US Dollar’s Growth Has Slowed
The US dollar remains volatile against most major currencies. The US currency appreciated significantly at the end of last week, against the background of strong data on the US labor market. The dollar index fell by 0.02% to the level of 93.37 today.
On Friday, the US dollar strengthened significantly after the release of positive statistics on unemployment in the US in July, which fell to 4.3%. At the same time, the number of jobs in non-agricultural sectors of the economy increased by 209 thousand.
According to analysts, a steady growth in the dollar will support investors' expectations of an increase in the Federal Reserve's interest rate in December.
