Euro Stays Weak Against US Dollar

The euro fell by 0.69% against the US dollar today. The euro/dollar is trading at 1.1734. Investors nervously reacted to the news about the referendum in Catalonia selling their euros in favor of the US dollar and the Swiss franc.

The economic growth of the Eurozone continues. The Eurozone Manufacturing PMI rose to a 79-month high of 58.1 in September from 57.4 in August. The German manufacturing sector achieved the strongest results in the last six years in September. The German Manufacturing PMI improved to 60.6 in September.

The unemployment rate in the Eurozone remained at the lowest level since the beginning of 2009. The unemployment rate was 9.1%. It was assumed, that the indicator will decrease to 9.0%.
