UK Construction PMI Fell to 13-Month Minimum
IHS Markit data showed that the index of business activity in the construction sector of the UK fell in September because of weak new orders. The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in the construction sector from the IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply fell to 48.1 in September from 51.1 in August. It was expected, that the index will drop to 51.0.
The indicator was below the level of 50 for the first time in 13 months. The last value indicates the fastest decline in construction volumes since July 2016.
