Markets Await Statements of Yellen and Draghi

It is expected, that the US stock markets will open with a slight decrease after two record closings at the beginning of the week, as markets await the speech of the US Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and ECB President Mario Draghi. Both central banks are in very different phases of the tightening cycle, but the problem of low inflation remains in both the ECB and the Fed.

Markets in Europe are mostly traded in the red zone today. The Spanish IBEX index falls by more than 2%, and the yield on the debts of the countries is growing after the head of the Catalan government announced that they will declare independence from Spain at the end of this week or the beginning of the next.
