Markets Expect Statements of Fed and ECB

European stock markets traded mixed today as investors evaluated the data and watched the speeches of central bankers at the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington.

The main events of the day will be data on producer prices in the US, as well as speeches by a number of speakers from the Fed and the ECB, including ECB Chair Mario Draghi. If the euro hears a hint at the prerequisites for the beginning of the curtailment of incentives in the region, the EUR/USD pair will receive an additional stimulus to growth.

Speaking in New York, the chief economist of the ECB Peter Praet, confirmed that the economic recovery in the Eurozone is increasing, but all inflation indicators remain restrained.
