Will US Stock Indices Continue to Grow?
It is expected, that the US stock markets will open without significant changes today, after new record highs were reached yesterday. The euro continues to decline against the US dollar, and analysts expect the currency to fall to $1.1450-1.15 in the coming weeks and months.
Markets are waiting for comments from representatives of many central banks, including statements by the Presidents of the US Federal Reserve System, the ECB and the Bank of Canada. All three central banks are actively involved in tightening monetary policy.
The Bank of Canada raised the interest rate level at two consecutive meetings in July and September. While the central bank of Canada emphasized its dependence on data because of the sensitivity of the economy to various factors, Governor Stephen Poloz can now provide some insight into the future monetary policy of the bank.
