DAX Index Increases Despite German Political Crisis

Germany's DAX stock index rose by 0.21% today and is trading at 13.020.50 level. Germany is in a political crisis, as Chancellor Angela Merkel could not reach an agreement with the other two political parties to form a new government.

German producer price index fell to 2.7% year-on-year in October from 3.1% in September, as expected. Producer price index rose compared to the previous month by 0.3% in October 2017 after an increase of 0.3% in September and +0.2% in August.

The economic growth of the Eurozone continues in the third quarter of 2017. Germany's GDP accelerated to 0.8%, while the Eurozone's GDP remained stable at 0.6%. But still, inflation in the euro area remains well below the ECB's target of 2%.
