DAX Index Has Strengthened Slightly
Germany's DAX stock index posted a slight profit today, rising 0.20%. The index is traded at the level of 13.024.50. Industrial production in Germany unexpectedly declined in October. According to the Destatis, industrial production fell by 1.4%. Economists had expected growth of 1% after a decline of 0.9% in September.
The Eurozone economy expanded in the third quarter mainly with the support of investments and exports. Gross domestic product grew by 0.6%, slightly slower than the 0.7% increase seen in the second quarter. On an annual basis, GDP increased by 2.6%.
The labor market in the US remains strong. The ADP report showed an increase in employment in the private sector by 190 thousand. Nevertheless, it was a soft reading compared to the previous release, which showed an increase of 235 thousand.
