Commodity Prices Show Record Growth
Commodities create a record profit increase, as crude oil increases multi-year highs, and investors are betting that a growing world output will help support the growing demand for raw materials. Bloomberg reported that the commodity price index, tracking prices for 22 types of raw materials, ended in positive territory for the 14th consecutive session on Wednesday, which has not been observed yet in history.
The indicator finished trading at maximums on expectations that a more even growth of the world economy will have a positive impact on the demand for raw materials. The value of commodities rose last year in the second year in a row, and most economists expect a positive momentum in 2018.
