UK PM Promised Brexit Analysis Before Voting in Parliament
British Prime Minister Theresa May said, that British parliamentarians will be given an official analysis of the final version of the UK agreement on Brexit, before they are asked to approve it. May also stated that it would be wrong to publish any official analysis until the terms of the deal were known, in part because it could damage the negotiations.
In particular, in this Brexit analysis describes three scenarios. If the UK enters into a free trade agreement with the EU, its economy will grow 5% lower in the next 15 years than expected now. Without such an agreement and when returning to the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the decline in the country's economic growth is expected at 8%. With the UK retaining access to the EU common market, the slowdown in the country's economy is expected around 2%.
