New Or Old BoJ Governor?
In the end of this month, Japanese government is going to present nominees, among of which it will later select the new BoJ governor. Some still believe that the current Governor Haruhiko Kuroda, whose term ends on April 8, will take over the seat once again. Indeed, his managing has been repeatedly praised by the prime-minister Shinzo Abe, who claimed that policy, worked out by Kuroda, did a great job improving the economy. Still, there is a big chance someone else would be appointed and some even assume there would be a shift from the actual policy. The nominees are yet to be approved by two houses of parliament and the selection is likely to take 2 rounds. The timing is uncertain as the process might be smooth and at the same time there might be some difficulties.
