NFP Anticipation Pushed Yields Higher
Today marks the day of important earning data since Apple, Amazon, Alphabet and S&P 500 companies are about to feature their earnings reports. The anticipation of important data made US 10-year yield close at its 4-year maximum of 2.8%. Same happened in Europe, where Gilt and Bunds both rising to their 3-year maximums. Fed’s recent outlook expressed members’ hopes for rise in inflation. Today’s numbers are projected to mark 180,000 new jobs. Wages should increase 2.6% in January.
