Office For National Statistics On Poor Productivity in Britain
Office for National Statistics reported that UK slow productivity growth owes more than expected to people that will probably start working in less productive sectors. That is, partly due to financial crisis, productivity growth is seen as the weakest since 1820s. The ONS also claimed economic changes, particularly lower labor mobility as well as the number of sectors such as financial services, to be the reason for such a slowdown. The least productive areas are security, landscaping and recreational activities.
