Stabilization At Stock Market
Stock market turmoil seem to have slightly cooled down. European shares lowered. US shares remain fragile. Some analysts say such a volatility might have been caused by possible policy changes, particularly Fed rate hike, as well as by growing yields. This whole week they have been under a serious selling pressure, but that didn’t change Fed’s intentions in terms of the policy path.
Today’s biggest event is Bank of England meeting and Inflation Report. Investors assume that BoE will hint on a rate hike in May. But, some insists that considering weakness in inflation and economic ambiguity, policy tightening is unlikely. The Pound has reinforced in anticipation of the coming meeting. Meanwhile, Bitcoin keeps recovering and it’s up over 40% from recent minimums. Still, the recovery might turn out to be temporary.
