Coincheck Intends to Take Off Restrictions on Yen Withdrawal
The Japanese exchange Coincheck intends to lift restrictions on the withdrawal of the yen next week, despite the fact that regulators have not yet approved this step. According to NHK's national broadcasting company, Coincheck has ensured the security of its systems and is seeking to allow customers to resume the withdrawal of the yen from February 13.
On January 26, 2018, the large Japanese currency exchange Coincheck reported a robbery that could be the largest such incident in history. Attackers abducted from the company cruptocurrency for more than half a billion dollars.
Japan's FSA (Financial Services Agency) urged Coincheck to raise its standards and ordered a report on the hacking and measures to prevent recurrence.
