British Companies Will Lift Salaries
Recent BoE survey, which includes opinions of 368 companies with 845,000 employers, suggested that UK firms were going to raise wages from 2.6% in 2017 to 3.1% in 2018. And now, Bank of England is worried that domestic inflation pressures would increase. Officials declared: "Companies also reported an increased tendency to pay above the National Living Wage, due to competitive pressures. However, many firms were planning to limit management pay increases to 1-2 percent in order to hold down their overall pay settlement".
