Greece To Soften Capital Restrictions
Today, Athens announced that Greece got down to loosening the capital restrictions that were imposed two years ago, so that the monthly limit of the capital, that can be taken from bank accounts, is higher. And starting from tomorrow, individuals will be able to take lump sums of around EUR 2,300 in cash each month from bank accounts from EUR 1,800. Additionally, the number of money that individuals can withdraw in other countries throughout one’s trip was increased from 2,000 to 2,300 euros. The finance ministry announced: "The decision is one more step in the framework of the roadmap for the gradual lifting of restrictions on cash withdrawals and the transfer of money".
