DAX Hovers Around 13.000 Level
Stock markets in France and Germany remain strong. On Thursday, DAX rose above the level of 13.000 for the first time since the end of January, and the CAC grew by 8.2% since the end of March. Today, the stock index of Germany DAX decreased by 0.27% and is trading at 12.988 level. The DAX received almost 1.3% this week. Despite fall of the DAX, European stocks were set to achieve their longest weekly winning streak for more than three years on Friday.
Today, important economic data are not expected to be published. Regarding carefully monitored events, the president of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, must address the audience in Florence.
US will release Michigan consumer confidence index, which is expected to decelerate to 98.5 in May. Canada will present jobs data. The Canada’s employment report is expected to see 17.4K new jobs added in April with unemployment rate dwelling at 5.8%.
