Angela Merkel No Debt Relief For Italy
Today, Angela Merkel spoke with the ECB President Mario Draghi. Steffen Seibert, the Chancellor’s spokesman, refused to tell whether the two talked about recent political tension in Italy. He, instead, claimed: "These are not public meetings, rather it was an exchange of views as she has with Mr Draghi or other chiefs of European institutions every now and then, in confidence".
German Chancellor said EU won’t give a debt relief for Italy. Merkel said: "I will approach the new Italian government openly and work with it instead of speculating about its intentions".
