Eurozone Jobless Rate Surprised Economists
According to the statistics office Eurostat, Eurozone jobless rate for May didn’t fit the economists’ projections, remaining steady at 8.4%. The amount of people looking for job was a little lower than in April, at 13.66 million. The forecast suggested a rise to 8.5%.
In a country-by-country terms, the amount of citizens that are looking for a position dropped most in Spain and Italy. A mild growth in unemployment was noted in Portugal.
