US PPI Surprised With Decline
According to the Labor Department data, US PPI declined 0.1% in August. In annual terms, the Purchasing Price Index was up 2.8%. The Reuters forecast suggested a lift by 0.2% and by 3.2% comparing to 2017. Core PPI reduced 0.1% comparing to July and grew 2.3% in annual terms. Core PPI was projected to surge 0.2% monthly and 2.7% yearly.
