DAX is Trading Moderately Higher
The German DAX stock index shows slight increase at the beginning of the week. The DAX gained 0.13% to trade at 11.537 level. The DAX fell by 6.7% in October and showed its worst monthly performance since December 2016. However, the index has gained 1.0% since the beginning of the month.
Eurozone finance ministers gather in Brussels for a regular meeting. It is assumed, that the Italian budget plan for 2019 will be the point of discussion among ministers. Also, investors are focused on a trade agreement between the US and China. US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet at a Group of 20 summit in Argentina later this month.
Today’s data showed, that Eurozone Sentix investor confidence index fell from 11.3 in October to 8.8 points in November, its lowest level since October 2016. The index has dropped sharply in 2018, as it was at 32.9 level in January. A sub-index on current conditions fell to 29.3 from 33.0, hitting its lowest level since April 2017. A sub-index measuring expectations fell to -9.8 from -8.3 the previous month.
