Euro Stays Steady After Strong Eurozone Data

Forex markets are in a narrow range today. The euro remains stable after strong economic data. The US dollar and the British pound have strengthened slightly. Gold fell and remains below the level of 1210.

Sentix data showed that investor confidence in the Eurozone weakened slightly in July. The index of investor confidence fell slightly to 28.3 in July from a nearly ten-year maximum. It was expected, that the estimate would drop to 28.2 from 28.4 in June.

The basic machines orders in Japan declined by a seasonally adjusted -3.6% in May. Economists had expected the growth of the index by 1.7%.
